Do not remove sign vs idiot

Someone I work with talks like a filipino hooker and whose only response to verbal stimulation is repeated blinking and an occasional prolonged “yeaaaaaah”. After weeks of bothering everyone for a new shiny new monitor she got one. It would be mean to leave them instructions not to remove the plastic shipping cover that comes with the new monitor - wouldn’t it?

Well you guessed it we decided to see just how long that “Scratch Guard” would stay taped on the monitor…

I think what sells it is the official looking instruction label

Two weeks later and in between IM’ing relatives in the Philippines it’s still there

It actually adds to the monitor I think… Combination scratch guard, dust cover and failed IQ test.

UPDATE: She managed to lock herself out of her office this morning, not sure why she locked the door. There is an open door policy here at work and no one is supposed to close let alone lock their doors. Maybe she didn’t want anyone stealing her monitor cover.

No one at the office believed me when I swore that I hadn’t locked her out.

Scratch cover is still there, now safely entombed in the locked office.

Yep, there’s a key safe inside the office where no one can steal it - this is one secure office.

On the plus side no one can steal anything from her office, including her.
