Abandoned city in Russia
At first I thought these pictures were of Chernobyl but there is no radiation here. Kadychan is a Northern Russian town, nestled in cold tundra. It was once a tin mining town of twelve thousand people.
The houses are still filled with people’s belongings, books and childrens toys litter the rooms. The Lenin statue is shot to pieces, film rots in the cinema. People were moved out over two weeks, taken to other towns with housing provided by the state.
