Christ struck down by lightning

I’m not sure what was said but Christ was struck by lightning recently. The lightning strike was captured on film, when the 130ft tall statue made of 700 tons of reinforced concrete. Christ the Redeemer stands atop the 2,296ft Corcovado mountain overlooking Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

It was named one of the new Seven Wonders of the World in 2007.

Sunday’s storm caused havoc in Rio, felling trees in several neighbourhoods - but did not damage the statue.
