All very good reasons. Lucas does admit he can not write dialogue … so either he forgot this and did not have anybody clean up his mess in the prequels (which could have saved them) or he doesnt care anymore (or maybe he thinks he can finally write some good dialogue?). We do not need Shakespear or even an Academy Award Winning script … but we could use something good.

A lot of people have stopped paying to see or obtain Lucas stuff …. I have not seen the new Indiana movie and do not intend to. I already have the correct 3 volume set. I also will not spend any more on the prequels … I did like the Obiwan vs. Annakin fight scene (have been waiting for that for decades) but other than that – the films were a waste. Lucas said he made them for kids. Well most of us were kids when the original’s came out… and I loved those, the new ones just do not compare.

Lucas will always have a ton of money, but he did lose a ton (or more) of respect. I will alway like him for his early films, but I will always loath him for what he did after the 80′s (though Willow was not bad!).

Wow. What a plethora of strongarm totalitarian solutions to strawman arguments. I’m sure George is crying all the way to the bank… if they are so bad, you’d think either people would stop paying to see them, or someone would create something better. Alas, American creativity is expressed in crass criticism these days…
