David Howard Murdock II, 36, whose father is CEO of the Westlake Village-based Dole Food Co., died in a car accident in an early morning while driving his 2003 Ferrari on the Santa Monica Freeway. The ferrari failed to turn when the road curved and drove down an embankment hitting trees below.
